Meet Esme, the little sister.

Esme came into care with her mum and 3 siblings after they were captured as strays living on the street. Esme is quite small for her age, being the runt of the litter. But don’t let her little size fool you! Esme has a lot of spunk. One minute she will be meowing at you, wanting to climb up for a cuddle, the next minute she’s running around like the crazy cat she is.

Esme is currently living with her siblings and another older kitten, who she likes to play with, but it must be on her terms. Esme is used to the sound of dogs and birds, but has not yet interacted with them. She has been living with teenagers, so we are unsure how she would go with small children due to her size and she can get scared easily.

Esme adores her big sister Bonnie. If she can’t see her close by, she will go looking for her. Esme and Bonnie mainly sleep side-by-side, and Bonnie regularly grooms Esme. Cats and kittens adopted from Dog Rescue Newcastle must be inside only unless you have a cat enclosure that they can have some outside time in.

Esme is a healthy and happy little lady who will make someone very happy! She is in foster care in Morisset and is available for adoption to an indoor-only home in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast Area only – so that she can take a little trip to a DRN affiliated vet for desexing when she is approximately 4 months old. Her adoption fee is $250 which covers her microchipping, first vaccination and desexing.
