Poppy

Our gorgeous Poppy was surrendered to a local Pound by her elderly owner who has had her from a puppy. The owner admits she has done nothing with her and that Poppy has always been an ‘outside dog.’
So this poor little girl comes into care and into my home, with other foster dogs and my own dogs. Initially it was a huge culture shock….living indoors with humans and other dogs! She was pretty shy to begin with, but quickly acclimatised and found her creature comforts, as you can see from some of the pics!
Absolutely everything was new to Poppy, and when picked up for cuddles, she leans into you and holds on - bless. She has worked out the doggie door, and is doing really well with her toilet training.
She loves being around the other dogs and is a wonderful playful girl.
She would really benefit from puppy pre school or obedience training, if that is available near her forever home.
Poppy is super friendly with humans, her tail nearly wags itself loose!
She has been going out for daily walks on leash, and is getting better and better at it. I tried to get her on video, but she walks right next to my leg, and I couldn’t do it! Lol!
So, our long legged girl would like her family to be an active one, who wish to take her running on the beach, or hiking in the hills. She is no couch potato, well not until she wants to snuggle up and watch a bit of TV with you, that is!
