About Omie ~ 4 month old female kitten
If you are looking to truly rescue a kitten, Omie might just be the one for you.
This beautiful girl had a hard start to life and was born in an industrial area where she was trapped by some caring employees.
Omie came into her foster carers’ home at around 8 weeks old absolutely terrified of humans. After a few week passed and she began to settle into the luxuries of house cat living, she began to trust her foster carer more and more every day.
She is now around 4 months old and has grown to adore her foster mum, and perches on her chest for cuddles on the lounge every night. She is extremely bonded to her foster mum but is still learning to trust new comers. Once she gets to know the regular visitors she will come out to say hello but when brand new people come to the house she stays in hiding.
The other cats in her foster home help to make Omie feel more comfortable so we would love if she was adopted to a home with an existing friendly cat.
Omie is a playful girl and zooms around the house chasing the other cats. She especially loves when her human pulls the string toys out for a play. Being a timid girl, Omie would not suit a home with dogs.
Omie will need a very patient family who will give her the time she needs to become comfortable in her new surroundings before trying to build a trusting relationship with her. It will be a long but heartwarming experience for the lucky person who adopts Omie.
She will need a quiet home with no young children and would do best in a home with only one or two people. She is fairly independent throughout the day and will seek her humans out when she’s ready for play, affection or food! She is a chatty girl so will let you know when it’s dinner time!
Cats and kittens adopted from Dog Rescue Newcastle must be inside only unless you have a cat enclosure that they can have some outside time in. It is especially important for Omie to be an inside only cat as loud noises and sudden movements startle her.
Omie is in foster care in Elermore Vale, NSW. Her adoption fee is $200. This covers her desexing, first vaccination, and microchipping.
