About Sage
Hey people! I’m Sage and she’s Quinn and we are the tortie twins! Quinn is a little more shy than I so allow me to do the talking!
Did you know that only 1 in 3,000 tortoiseshell cats are male? And that the males that do occasionally get this pretty tortie coat are almost always sterile? No? Well you do now!
We’re a special kind, us torties. We’re basically a girls club and we certainly can be quite sassy like any gal can! My sister and I are generally quite quiet and gentle but also love to play together. We’re a little bit shy but slowly coming around with some TLC and good food in our bellies.
While we tolerate the young kids in our foster home, a house that’s a little quieter would be more our style to allow us to come out of our shell a little more and learn that life isn’t all crazy and chaotic.
Time and patience are two words that come to mind when thinking of what our new families may need to give us to allow us to become our best selves but foster mum tends to think it wouldn’t be too long before we had you wrapped around our little paws. Foster mama also speaks from experience when she says it’s the most rewarding thing seeing kitties that are a little shy come around and learn to love you.
As sad as it is, foster mama also think we would be better going to two separate homes as she thinks we would really flourish being separated rather than relying on each other for support in our slightly shy ways.
If you believe you can give us what we need, don’t hesitate!
If you would like to meet me please email the rescue at fostersadoptslpr@gmail.com or pm the Silver Lining Pet Rescue Inc facebook page.
(Please note: all our cats kittens are adopted as inside only)

Adoption Process
We send out our application to the new potential family and when our forms are returned we start a process called screening. When we have finished our screening and all information that comes back is approved. We do a meet and greet, sometimes more than two. If all parties are happy, we then allow our foster furkid go into your home. After 3 weeks (for dogs) / 6 weeks (for cats) sometimes more, see how everyone is going, then we change over microchip registration if everything is great.
