About Sasha
Sasha: Mumma, what’s a “happy ever after”?
Quetsi: My dear little one, that’s something we all are destined for now we are safe with Silver Lining Pet Rescue. It’s something different for each of us. A “happy ever after” is a life full of love, happiness, comfort and safety with all the things you love.
Sasha: What would my happy ever after be?
Quetsi: Tell me all the things you love.
Sasha: Oh that’s so easy Mumma; I love playing chasey, I love the light plastic balls I pick up with my paws and pat around the floor, I love climbing, I love pats and short cuddles (I might like them more one day), I like hiding in the boxes and chewing on them too. Let me think, what else would help make my happy ever after… I know!! A play mate would be awesome cos I love playing with my brothers and sister and I like to snuggle in with them to sleep.
Quetsi: Little one, what you’ve just told me is your “happy ever after”, the Rescue will search far and wide and won’t stop until they find the right human to give you your happy ever after.
Sasha: Yay Mumma, when can I meet them? Can I meet them today Mumma? Can I? Can I Mumma? Can I meet them today? Pleeeease?

Adoption Process
We send out our application to the new potential family and when our forms are returned we start a process called screening. When we have finished our screening and all information that comes back is approved. We do a meet and greet, sometimes more than two. If all parties are happy, we then allow our foster furkid go into your home. After 3 weeks (for dogs) / 6 weeks (for cats) sometimes more, see how everyone is going, then we change over microchip registration if everything is great.
