About Smokie
Smokie just glares into your soul and you know he wants you to love him. This sweet young Kelpie x boy was thrown over the pound fence and we knew we just had to save him. Estimating to be around 1 years old, he has so much life in him!
Handsome and sweet, Smokie is ready to melt your heart. Hoping to share his new home with a loving family, he is looking for an active and interactive home that can provide him daily exercise and continue to help him gain his confidence with the outside world.
Smokie can be quite shy so will need someone loving and patient to help him understand the safety of his new home and surroundings. This means he won't suit a chaotic household or going to work with someone daily.
He hopes his new family has someone home more often than not so he can bond with someone for safety.
He is searching for a home that has fencing 6ft or over, a home that allows him inside with
his family especially at night time and a home that is looking for a cuddly boy.
Smokie shares his foster home with a range of other dogs and shows to be good with others of all sizes, he may suit sharing his home with another confident and playful dog or would happily bask in the love of his family by himself.
He hasn't been tested with cats/ pocket pets/ free range poultry or livestock so we aren't sure how he would go with them. And he hasn't met any young kids, however being nervous we would recommend dog savvy kids over the age of 10 who are calm in nature.
Smokie is ready to start his search for a new home and he hopes it doesn't take too long. He is located in the lower hunter valley and his adoption fee is $550.

Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
