About Brax
Our great big boofhead Brax is a super sweetheart with a calm and placid nature. He loves being indoors with his family where he will happily sit on his mat but is equally relaxed being outdoors in his dog run when his foster carers go out.
Brax is a 4 year old mastiff x (possible Great Dane?) who loves other dogs and is very respectful of them and their space. He has played with dogs from pugs through to kelpies and if they get too much for him, he sits on them!
He really doesn’t bark, only when strangers come to the house. He is a couch potato and readily seeks affection when he has been invited, leaning on you with one paw on your foot.
Walking on a lead needs some work, as does his recall. He will pull if he sees something or someone he wants to greet and his hearing fails him so some positive training to teach him to focus on his handler is required.
He has been around children >6 years of age and has been really good with them. He doesn’t appreciate having his ears played with nor his tail so we are hoping to find him a home with older children.

Adoption details
Please send our friendly volunteers an email about yourself and we will reply to you as soon as possible. We can arrange a meet and greet for you (and existing pets) to spend some time with the pet and see if they are likely to fit into your life.
If you decide to adopt:
- payment is made
- a quick property check is conducted for dogs
-then you can welcome your new pet into your life!
We have a 2 week trial period so if this pet is not the perfect fit for you we will supply you with a full refund minus a $50 administration fee within the trail period. We will also take the adopted pet back at any stage should you be unable to care for them any longer.
