About Kingpin
Kingpin is an affectionate but timid kitten who's going to need extra time and attention, especially for the first couple of weeks while he gains confidence and settles in to his new home.
Kingpin will need an understanding environment where he can progress at his own pace and he must be started in a small area, prevent access to hard-to-reach spots.and be allowed time to settle prior to allowing to explore the rest of the house as he can become easily overwhelmed in large open spaces.
Adopter to engage in interactive play. Never use hands or feet; use a toy that isn't too threatening, or the kitten's favourite toy. Toys tied to the end of a piece of string work well to stimulate their natural predatory behaviour. Try to gently entice Kingpin from a distance, this allows the kitten to get involved with your game, without being face to face with you.
To show Kingpin that all humans offer love and attention, new adopter must spend as much time with him as possible, making sure to offer lots of slow blinks and talking softly with them, offering small amounts of wet food or chicken or similar, and actively engaging with them with touch and gentle handling.
Kingpin will need a calm, quiet home with no young children.
