About Marty
Looking for a special someone who will open their heart and home to this gorgeous little man
Marty is a 4 year old Fox Terrier who has not had the greatest starts in life, Marty was brought into care a few months ago as a very very scared timid boy who would often simply cry as he was scared.
His foster mum and dad have been amazing and have helped teach him all about love, security and being able to be part of a family. Marty really took a shine to his foster dad from day one.
One of Marty’s biggest needs is someone who is home more often than not or works from home etc. – Marty does have separation anxiety and just having his humans around is comforting for him.
The other two huge helpers for Marty in gaining trust was his foster fur siblings. Marty was very unsure of them to begin with as they were little pocket rockets who loved to play, chase each other and often engage in what we call kung fu fighting. Marty spent the first few weeks watching them and then decided that sitting on the sidelines was not as fun but now he enjoys getting in amongst it and can outrun his fur siblings at tag and is a speed demon at catch!!
Marty also loves loves loves going for walks and is really good walking on a lead, he also does not mind the car either.
Once Marty is comfortable in his surroundings and home he will show you just how cuddly a boy he is and how much he loves spending as much time with his family as possible…on the couch watching tv or sleeping under your feet.
He is used to sleeping in his human bed and this is something that we would very much like for him to continue with (and as he’s an exceptional hot water bottle perfect timing).
We would be requiring Marty to go to a home with children over the age of 8, as small children who run and scream and jump about will make him very anxious.
If you think you’re the perfect furever family for me, I’m waiting for you!

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
