About Honey
Hi I’m Honey, and I am a nearly 2 years and 3 months old French Bulldog
I came into care 4 months ago and in that 4 months my foster mum has said I have gone from a very timid little girl to a lovely girl who has just blossomed and loves everyone and everything!
I am a needy pants, not going to lie, I loooove human company. My ideal home will be someone who is at home, works from home, or who can take me places with them as much as possible.
I am currently on acreage with lots and lots of other dogs that I can play with but my foster mum shakes her head at me cause I have a naughty habit – cause they have acreage fencing I can see next door and they have a big breed dog that plays fetch and I quickly climb the fence and go over and play with her – I promise it’s the only time I do it and my mum has even tried to get me to play fetch at home, but it’s not as much fun without the next door neighbor’s dog – mum thinks I either have to have a really understanding neighbor or fences that aren’t acreage style - Oops!
I am awesome with all dogs (big & small, young and old) my biggest wish would to be to a home that has at least one other dog that I can play with, snuggle with, run and wrestle with.
I came into care pretty underweight and my mum makes this awesome food for me (Royal Canin dry food, chicken mince and vegetables) and I looooove it, I am not going to lie I love food (nearly as much as humans) & I am not shy in wanting to eat my body weight so my new mum or dad need to be mindful that I have eyes bigger than my tummy and need to be watched when it comes to dinner time – but a good thing is I don’t keep you waiting to clear my food – my story and I’m sticking to it!
When I first came into care my mum would say she could hear me coming from a mile off with my breathing and sleeping with me was like sleeping with a freight train – I was omg loud but I thought I could cover that up with the most awesome cuddles – mum cottoned on really quickly and had my tonsils and nares done and now while I still may snore from time to time nothing like before.
I’m a little nervous around kids that are loud and yell or squeal but my mum thinks that if they aren’t going to do that and just be happy to play with me, cuddle me and let me hang with them that should be all good. I mean the more cuddles and love for me the better yeah?
I sleep with my mum on her bed and that is something that my foster mum will make sure is part of the deal – I like to cuddle at night – nice and close! I am toilet trained.
I am a girl who enjoys the luxury of an indoor life and have great indoor manners. I do like to spend some time outside doing my thing so I would like to have the best of both worlds - inside and outside access when I want.
If you think you could make me part of your family & are interested in applying to adopt me, please send thru an adoption application
** Please note applications will close Friday 2nd July 2021 at 5.30pm

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
