Please meet LUCY, a small, friendly and well-mannered English Staffy female born on 30 March 2014.

Reluctantly surrendered due to a change in her elderly owner's circumstances, and through no fault of her own, Lucy is now looking for a safe and loving forever home to call her own.

She had lived in the same home since she was a tiny puppy, so we are surprised at how well she has settled into life in foster care. We've had nothing but good feedback from her carer:

"Lucy is a very friendly and placid little girl and is so sweet-natured and eager to please. She is well-mannered and obedient. She will go to bed on command. She eats anything and is house-trained. She absolutely loves people, but is not dog-friendly, and I don't think she has been lead-trained."

Lucy is accustomed to having her human around most of the time, so we would like to find her a home where that situation is replicated. She would suit a retired person or couple. She is past the age where she needs vigorous exercise. A daily play in the backyard is all the exercise she needs.

Lucy does not like other dogs, probably because she was picked on repeatedly by dogs in the extended family of her former owner. She has had no exposure to cats and is probably not cat-friendly. People are her favourite species and to be happy and secure, she likes to have her loved ones around most of the time.

She is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped and her adoption fee is $450.
