About Clarissa
Hi there, it is such a joy to finally meet you. It feels like forever that I have been waiting for my fur-ever family to come find me.
My name is Clarissa, and I came to the RSPCA as a stray after I had gotten lost from my home. Sadly the shelter staff were never able to reunite me with my family so now I am looking for a new home that will hopefully keep me indoors so I never get lost again.
I am a very friendly cat who loves chin scratches and head rubs. I very much love a warm lap to nap on and enjoy being able to share your bed at night time.
Something to know about me is that is that I have tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). This is a cat only disease which is very similar to HIV. Cats like me which are positive to FIV can live enjoy a good quality of life! FIV is not easily spread and the main way cats catch it is from deep bites from infected cats. If you do have other cats at home it is recommended that you take introductions very slowly and carefully to ensure we get along and do not fight. It would be best if I only go to a home with another FIV positive cat and that I remain an indoor only cat for life.
I am a very sweet, loving cat that enjoys spending time cuddling with my hoomans! I would looove to go to a home where I could be spoiled with things that every cat dreams of like a few toys to play with, a cat tower to stretch out on, a comfy bed to rest and snuggle in, and most importantly, a wonderful family that will enjoy giving me lots of love and pats!
If you think that there is room in your heart for a cat as amazing as me, please come and speak to the staff about adopting me as I can't wait to go home!
Love,
Clarissa xx
