About Lucy
😸 Lovely Lucy 😸
“Hi there, my name is Lucy! Before I met the Catters, my life was not so great. I was living in a transport yard with my kittens which was a rough life, having to provide food for them while going hungry myself, not to mention keeping them safe out of the hot sun. When I first arrived at my foster home I would cower in the corner and hiss because I was so frightened. But after watching my kittens leave the nest, I have realised I want to be next! I have recently discovered the joys of pats and let me tell you, I love them! My favourites are back scratches and face massages – who would have thought a street cat could be so mushy? I love to play a game where I roll on my back and show my tummy, sometimes I want a scratch and sometimes I want to bop your hand... you never know until it’s too late. I like to keep ‘em guessing you know? My other favourite things to do are eating, snoozing on the lounge, chasing around toys, pouncing, and sitting up high on my cat tree or benches to watch the world go by.
As my start to life was not so great, I will take some time to settle into my new home. However, I promise that once I do settle then there is no stopping me from being your bestest friend. I am very cat social and could be okay with small quiet dogs if they would give me the space to become comfortable. I wouldn’t mind living with children, maybe older than 5 years and ale to gently and quietly welcome me into their family.”
All adult cats are sent to potential new homes on a one to two week trial after an initial meet and greet before finalising adoption. While adult cats do take longer than this to settle into a new home, it allows a chance to see how the cat is coping with the new environment.
