About Magnolia
Magnolia is a beautiful long haired full ginger girl.
Mags loves nothing more than to curl up at the end of your bed on a soft comfy blanket, or come and say hello with some head bunts while you're working on the computer.
Magnolia currently resides with other cats and a dog. While Mags isn't quite so good with understanding how to play with the other cats she is learning, however any resident cats would need to be reasonably confident to ensure the household dynamics don't swing too far out of whack as Magnolia is quite confident herself.
Magnolia hasn't presented herself as a lap cat at this point in time, but as she is only recently de-sexed and still has some kittens around it's hard to tell parts of the personality are mothering instincts and which is the actual personality. I was pleasantly surprised with a quick snuggle on my chest the other night, so things are still adjusting and could change. However, if you are after a super snuggle lap cat, Magnolia is not the girl for you.
Magnolia has had a rollercoaster of a ride this year. She gave birth to kittens inside Mt Isa pound in February and then soon after adopted three younger orphan kittens into her litter. As she had babies that were too young to fly, Maggie had to travel to Brisbane via road, which is a very long trip, longer with young babies in tow. Magnolia was emaciated when she arrived in care due to supporting so many kittens and wasn't able to produce enough milk so we needed to intervene. After some TLC and a lot of good food, Maggie showed us what an amazing mum she is and finished raising her babies but now it's time for her to find her forever.
Ginger cats are less commonly female so she's a bit of a special one :) Only about 20% of ginger cats are female, as they must have the ginger gene on both X chromosomes to present with this beautiful coat.
Please reach out if you think you have a space in your home and heart for our beautiful ginger flower.
