Mariposa

Hi, my name is Mariposa, my foster mum calls me “Poss” for short. I can be a little shy at first when meeting new people and animals (especially those bigger than me) so slow introductions and lots of praise is needed. When I have time to sus things out and get comfortable, my foster mum says I’m just “The Best”. I love to play rough with my large fury foster brother, but I am very quiet and gentle with my old fury foster sister dog and cuddles up so sweetly to her. I am good with cats although think they would be fun to play with, so cat needs to be very dog tolerant. I’m good with children but would be better suited to home without noisy, full on kids due to my timid nature.
Mariposa is a very clever girl and can already sit, shake hands, wait for food, walk on lead, is crate trained and house trained. I do need my new family to work hard on my recall training as I am true to my breed and love to follow my nose wherever it wants to take me. The best distraction and most entertaining thing for me are those bright magical things called tennis balls!!! I will fetch them for as long as my people will throw them, and I like to keep a large pile hidden in my crate so the big dogs cannot find them.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be, and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.

• You have a very large size yard.
• Mariposa will not be alone more than 5hrs
• You will allow a Mariposa to be part of the family and allow her access to indoors.
• You WILL enrol her in obedience training.
• You WILL provide her with daily exercise AND mental stimulation.
• You have experience with her breeds or have thoroughly researched them.
Applications with extensive details on the lifestyle you will offer Mariposa including FULL details on mental and physical stimulation you intend to provide will be considered. You will also need to include details on the obedience club you will be attending and what knowledge you have on her breeds.
