About Lucy
Lucy is a beautiful three year old pedigree German Shepherd who is again looking for a new home as her adoption hasn't worked.
Lucy was living in a small backyard and was struggling even though she was getting lots of walks.
Due to Lucy's size we don't recommend small children, but ok with older ones. She is not suitable to go to a home with cats and hasn't been tested with pocket pets.
Lucy has had some training to socialise her with other dogs and to walk well on the lead. She will need more training to stop her barking at other dogs.
Lucy is house trained and enjoys sitting with the family watching TV. She is a very affectionate dog, and loves having the pads of her paws massaged at night or her tummy rubbed.
If you have recently owned a German Shepherd or large breed dog, and understand German Shepherd and think you can give Lucy a new home, then please select the "Enquire about Lucy", and give us some information about home and experience with large breed dogs.
Medical notes
Lucy is microchipped, vaccinated and desexed.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
