Sully is a beautiful gentle giant and will be anyone's friend. Unfortunately a change of living circumstances has brought this chilled out boy to SAFE but it's through no fault of his own. SAFE is helping Sully get back to living his perfect life where he can be with people and have some space to enjoy the outdoors.
Sully has lately been living a very sedentary life and as a result has put on a few extra kilos... so much so that he is now tipping the scales at 100kgs... while he is always going to be a big boy, he really needs to drop some weight so he can stay as healthy as possible. Sully's new owner would need to understand giant breeds and be capable of handling him while giving him daily exercise that suits his needs. He likes laying around much of the time but also loves to follow his people around while they are in the garden or getting on with chores. Sully's ideal life is on a large property where he can hang out with other furry friends of any kind and go for a wander to check out the daily happenings. Sully has learnt to hang around the property where he used to live and is good with all other animals and livestock. He's not much of a guard dog being such a loveable goofball. He will let you know when someone has come to visit with a loud bark, but after that it's big slobbery kisses for the visitors!
Sully is good with young children although his size can be very intimidating so children living with him would need to be confident and experienced with dogs.
Sully is looking for a spacious retirement home where he can get back to his trimmer self while enjoying the company of others and laze away the evenings by the fire, at the feet of his family. Please apply if you have the very best of homes to share with Sully.

Our adoption process includes a two week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit. Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview and a property inspection (as it is vital we rehome our animals to a safe, secure and suitable home).

The adoption fee of $250 assists to cover the costs of desexing, microchip, microchip ownership transfer, flea and worm treatment, vaccinations, vet check and a fitted Haqihana Harness.
