Hank

I'm Hank and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• Rides in the car
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction, although I am a little bit scared of them.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children (under 12 years) as I can be a bit timid and jumpy sometimes and they may accidently scare me, older children should be ok though.
• Giant breed experience is a MUST

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Rabbits, guinea pigs & poultry - I may want to chase them
• Small children as they may scare me

My best features:
• LOVE people
• Happy to hang out with other dogs
• I can sit and shake hands
• Highly food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
• Unsure in new situations - more socialising is needed
• I may show signs of anxiety when I'm left alone in the backyard. Leaving me some enrichment toys/treats may help this or having a doggie friend to keep me company.
