About Padden
This boy is handsome and doesn’t he know it!
A sweet boy who is growing into himself fast and learning the ropes of the world at the same time. Searching for a home with another confident and social dog, he is looking for a canine pal to adventure with.
Someone to help guide him as he navigates the world being deaf and vision impaired.
Don't be alarmed or saddened; Padden knows nothing different and sure enough doesn't show it. His new home will hopefully have some experience in this world or are willing to take on training advice from the rescue for Padden's future development.
He shares his foster home with a range of other dogs so is learning how to communicate with them properly.
An easy fella who's looking for a home to continue his visual and hand signal training and continue working on his touch training to keep him confident and well adversed to the changes of the world around him.
Padden is confident in the house and loves to snuggle up and share the lounge, so a home that lets him inside especially at night will be essential. He is also crate trained for easy sleeping arrangements at night but is otherwise doing well with his toilet training as well.
Being deaf and vision impaired, his new home will need to be confident with exposing him to the world safely, this will include not allowing him off leash in unsecured areas as he is still learning to check in with his humans at safe distances.
He will need safe and secure fencing, free from any gaps or holes and isn't suitable to standard rural fencing.
He loves his humans so could easily share a home with some dog savvy kids but being a growing large pup we would suggest a home with kids over the age of 5 and confident with dogs.
Being so young he could easily adjust to sharing a home with cats or livestock but proper training will need to be implemented for safe co-existence.
Padden has seen an eye specialist who confirmed that he has partial vision. They predict the amount of sight he has currently is stable and unlikely to deteriorate as he grows. He is in good health otherwise.
If you think you are the perfect fit for the handsome Padden, fill out a Fetching Dogs adoption enquiry form as the next step in the process.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
