About Helen
Helen is blind…😎🐾
It’s time to find this little powerhouse her last and forever home!
Helen has been in care at HQ for a few weeks. From the very first day to today madam has blossomed and surprised us with her love and her strange little quirks. She has definitely challenged us but now we feel comfortable that we know what type of home she needs.
Preferably the best home for Helen would be one on her own, or maybe a little female as well.
She DEFINITELY does not like the company of males, but she has tolerated Ginge, but that was with lots of experienced supervision.
Helen is a very smart intelligent girl and worked out the floor plan of HQ very quickly. We think she might see shadows?!
She is still very puppified, but can be a little old lady.
Helen still has her off days but happy to hide under a cushion on the lounge or likes her little canvas crate (den) to rip to shred her toys.
No separation anxiety with this girl either.
Adoption Fee -$395
Medical notes
Helen did come into care with a UTI, which has been treated.
She will need to be monitored as she tends to hold on to going to the toilet.
She does have some arthritic pain in her hips which has been treated with meloxicam.
Helen is blind, but might be able to see some shadows.
Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
