About Theo
*In foster care in Concord, Sydney*
Despite still being a puppy, Theo is your classic laid-back dude! He loves nothing more than passing a quiet afternoon beside you on the couch, or snoozing at your feet while you work.
Theo adores a good chat, and plenty of pats and attention from his favourite humans. Having grown up with his brother Hudson, he's a big fan of canine company and may do well in a home with another resident dog. Theo is a very big, strong boy who's still learning how to socialise at the dog park, and will need ongoing guidance and training as he grows into his impressive full-sized self.
Like all Maggie's pets, Theo is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will have a backyard for me to play in and run around, although that's not essential if I'm getting plenty of exercise with daily walks. Being such a big lad - and only getting bigger! - all gates and fencing need to be sturdy, secure and high enough to keep me contained.
One thing I'm still coming to grips with is shadows! When I'm out on an evening walk I'll sometimes charge at walls with shadows on them, because they're so confusing - especially my own! So please be aware that this is one of my quirks, and maybe keep an even tighter hold on my leash than usual when we're out together at night :)
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Being so young I LOVE to play, and going out on walks is my favourite pastime! I do require a strong hand while being walked on my leash, but I'm very friendly to any strangers we meet along the way, happily accepting pats and scritches :)
When I've worn myself out, I like to take my bone to a nice comfy spot and have a good chew, or bunk down for a snooze with my brother or foster carer.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Kids aged 14 and over will be the best match for me, as I'm a very strong boy who could easily knock over a small child with my playful enthusiasm. I definitely don't mean to hurt anyone - so please make sure you're supervising when any younger kids come over to visit!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I totally adore my brother Hudson, so I think it would be amazing to live with another friendly dog (after checking we're compatible, of course)! Not so sure about cats, though.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
