Hi! My name is Buddha and I'm on the search for my forever home!

My new home will need to be very special, as I have been diagnosed with Primary Idiopathic Epilepsy. This means I sometimes have seizures with no known triggers. I have to take medication twice a day for my epilepsy, 12 hours apart, and this will need to continue for the rest of my life. I will also need a blood test done at my vet every 6 months just to make sure the medication remains at the correct levels in my body and doesn't cause any damage. My new owner will also ideally be at home a lot, just to monitor me and make sure I'm safe if I do have a seizure. The seizures themselves are not life threatening, however if I have a seizure and fall off the bed or down the stairs I could hurt myself.

I will need to go to a home with no other dogs as I like to mark my territory around the house. I am a very dog social boy, however, so I would be more than happy to make friends with other dogs outside the home. My new home will also need to be quiet, stress free and very routine based so I can learn to not pee in the house. No children in the home under 15 is a must, just so the house stays nice and calm and quiet. You will need to watch me carefully for the first few weeks as I will probably want to pee everywhere!

Being a Pomeranian I have a very thick, double coat and will need regular grooming at least 3 times a week to remove all my loose hairs and prevent matting. Every day would be even better as I enjoy being brushed and pampered! I will need bathing every 3 to 4 months or so. Please never shave me as this can actually make it harder for me to regulate my temperature on hot days.

I am an active boy and I love going on walks. Just please make sure to not take me out on very hot days as I might overheat. As much as I love going outside in the yard I will need to be kept indoors as I would love to be a part of the family. I will also need to be kept inside when I am at home by myself and at night.
