Bailey

Little Bailey is a social butterfly who absolutely adores her humans. This girl cannot help but get super excited when she sees her humans and is learning not to jump up during introductions. A tug-of-war champ, rivalled only by her sister, Bailey loves to play out in the backyard. Her fetch skills are improving while she still learns the key concept of retrieving the ball, but she is more than happy to just run after the ball. Bailey loves her humans especially when she can get a few cuddles and kisses in. She is a cuddle monster and cannot get enough cuddles from her humans. She would love nothing more than a quiet morning spent cuddled up in your lap, followed up by an afternoon of fun in the sun (with extra cuddles of course!). Bailey loves playing with other dogs as well as children and adores lots of affection.

Bailey is an intuitive girl who loves learning new skills but likes to take her time to perfect the ones she has already learnt. Sometimes she can get a little confused or not fully understand what she is being taught, however, she will guarantee her best efforts in trying to please her humans. Bailey often benefits from being taught a skill in a different way and needs humans who will understand that she is trying her best and will help to encourage her to keep trying. Bailey has learnt a number of skills with the help of her foster parents, these include her basic commands (sit, stop, wait and come) and her table manners are exquisite. Bailey has mastered her manners and has learnt to sit and wait until she has been told to eat. She is also toilet trained and will not have any accidents inside, provided that she knows she can go outside and is able to go outside to go to the bathroom before bedtime. Bailey is currently teething and likes to chew on all kinds of different textures but this is just a phase and if her humans simply swap out something that she is not allowed to chew on with something she can chew, she is more than happy to accept the swap. Bailey is leash trained and loves her daily walks (albeit around the yard while she waits for her 16 weeks vaccination), so she will be looking to continue this in her new home.

Bailey will need to be with humans who will continue her training in addition to helping her practise the commands she has already learnt while being understanding and providing positive reinforcement for when she struggles to understand what she is being taught. Bailey is also an active girl who will need humans who are dedicated to ensuring that she gets lots of exercise and cuddles, and who will provide her with sufficient mental stimulation to keep her busy. Please note that she will not be ready to go to her forever home until she has received her 16 weeks vaccination and her desexing will be completed at 6 months as part of the adoption agreement.
