About Raine
Raine
Red Heeler x 8 months
20 kilos
Raine is a cheeky young girl. She is extremely full of energy and life! She loves showing how much she cares and follows you wherever you go, humans and dogs alike.
Raine is a typical 10 month old puppy who has not had a lot of training in her younger months and can be very puppish when it comes to most things. She can sometimes be mouthy and try and chew the lead when waking. We have corrected this by wiping the lead with foul tasting ointment in which she is quickly learning to stop this lol
Raine can also be a little jumpy when excited so small children would not be idea in her new home
She also loves to have a nice sleep in the bed with you at night!
OBEDIENCE
When outdoors, she likes to chew her toys and keep herself busy. She sits nicely for treats, half the time you do not even have to say ‘Sit’ because she is already doing it in anticipation. She loves running in the yard. She likes to go for walks and see the rest of the world .
Raine would really benefit from obedience training as she is a smart young girl who wants to please
Raine is fine to be left alone outside while at work as long as she has things to do and keep her active
ENRICHMENT
Raine is a puppy . She will need stimulation when alone for long periods, such as chewing on bones or toys. If left for too long, she can get bored and create her own entertainment by pulling things around the yard or chewing items she finds and digging holes. We feel having a friend male dog would be of great benefit to her
Rane will need good exercise daily to keep her active and fit
SLEEPING
She has been sleeping inside, usually from 10:00pm until 7:30am, through the day she spends some time inside when we are all relaxing. She generally likes human interaction and so will knock on the backyard to let her back into the indoors! When indoors, she does tend to get hyped up and so keeping an eye on her while indoors is important. She goes to the toilet in the backyard and has learnt this quite quickly.
FOOD
She eats almost everything! Dry and wet food as well as leftovers!
SOCIALIZATION
Raine was great when tested with a submissive a gentle dog
She shows lovely play behavior and we feel she would greatly benefit from having a male similar size playful but mature dog to help her flourish
Not tested with cats or other animals
IDEAL HOME:
Raine will need an experienced owner to continue her training and ensure she matures to the dog she has potential to be
A large yard to play min 250m2
Children need to be over 10 as she can be jumpy when excited
Inside / outside dog
Daily walks and enrichment
Ideally a male friend dog who is playful and loving but not estental
