About Prince
Meet Prince a gentle stock coated boy who is in care in Wollongong. Prince came to us from a Sydney Animal Shelter where his former owner failed to collect him.
Since he has been in our care Prince has proven to be a placid, easy to manage young male shepherd who loves his morning walks and playtime at the dog park.
Prince is fully house trained and so easy to manage, voice responsive and wants to be friends with everybody and each dog he meets.
His foster carer cannot fault him and recently took him to the vets for a weigh in (38 kilos) and Prince met the resident kittens and cats with his usual tail wag.
We are dumb founded as how such a gentle boy with lovely manners found himself in a Sydney Pound but we have noticed Prince lacks confidence. Prince will drop to the ground if you raise your voice or raise your arm to him. So he will need patience and time to understand he is in a safe environment and to regain his confidence in his owner(s). He has met little people and was gentle and respectful.
Prince needs a calm, caring home who will provide him with consistency and a daily routine with walks and playtime and definitely as an integral family member.
If you think you can give Prince a new home, please select the "Enquire about Prince" and give us information about your home and experience with German Shepherds.
Medical notes
Prince is desexed, C5 vaccinated, on heart worm preventative and flea and worm treated.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
