About Moira Rose
Moira Rose is a gorgeous little girl, inside and out. She is curious and playful and her goofball antics will definitely make you laugh. She is also very gentle and extremely affectionate, though she does not seek affection in an overbearing way. Her favourite activities are chasing bikkies across the floor and giving sneaky head boops to her foster mum when the other kitties are getting love. She is very quiet but will mew sweetly in response to questions; her little meow is sure to warm your heart.
Moira Rose is a stunning jet black--from the end of her nose to the tip of her tail--and her soft, glossy coat is perfect for pats, which she absolutely adores. She can be a bit shy around new people but she warms up quickly when she realises there is love to be had. She is the type of kitty who will become very attached to her human and form a special forever bond.
Moira Rose loves humans and other kitties. She can be a bit skittish, so will probably be best in a home without loud, rambunctious children, dogs, or overbearing cats. The outside world is too unpredictable and overwhelming for her, so she should be kept as an indoor kitty (though a fully enclosed outdoor area would be ok for the occasional bask in the sun). Moira Rose is fully litter trained and keeps her surroundings tidy, though she does like to bat and chase bikkies around the floor and will occasionally overturn her food bowl trying to fish out a new bikkie victim.
It will most likely take Moira Rose a little while to adapt to her new family/environment. She is a sensitive soul who needs a family who understands that good things take time (though now that her eyes are better and she can see without discomfort, she adjusts to new things much more quickly).
She would absolutely LOVE to be adopted with her brother, Marmalade, because the two of them spend the day playing and cuddling and crowding the lap of the closest human. If you have room for two affectionate, gorgeous souls, please consider adopting them together.

Medical notes
Moira Rose has a genetic condition called Feline Eyelid Agenesis. Moira Rose had no upper eyelids, which made seeing nearly impossible. She was in constant discomfort, highly prone to infection, and had no way to prevent fur growing into her eyes (ouch!). If she had not been rescued, it is unlikely she would have survived on the streets with this condition.
Over several months, she underwent three rounds of reconstructive surgery, wherein some of her lower eyelids was grafted to the top of her eyes. Her vision was saved and she was finally given relief from her chronic pain and infections. During this ordeal, poor Moira Rose had to endure constant poking and prodding: eye-cleanings, oral medications (some of which were very yucky!), eye drops, cones, stitches, etc. Despite all this, her love for humans continued to grow.
Now that the treatments are complete, Moira Rose can now finally live the life she deserves. Her eyes will be a bit smaller than most cats (they will continue to stretch a bit, as the final surgery was recent), but she can now live a full and happy life, free from discomfort and recurring infections.
