I've been adopted!
About Leo ~ 6mo BC x(On Trial 16/7/21)
Hi, I’m Leo! I’m a fun-loving, loyal, affectionate and active 6 month Border Collie X. The Vet tells me I’m a bitsa – lil bit of this, lil bit of that. My foster parents keep tell I'm all the best bits and I am always getting compliments on my soft coat and markings.
Since being with my foster family I have a new thirst for life. I love having a place to call home, going for walks, learning new tricks, following my humans around the house , getting multiple pats and snuggles and most of all wrestling with my foster fur-sister.
My foster-fur-sister has helped build my confidence so ideally I would like to have a brother/sister to continue my confidence training. I am a quick learner, learning my name, how to sit and wait for food all in one week!! I am toilet trained, show signs of great re-call (I always like to have my humans close) and walk well on the lead but will require continuous training. I love being told I am a good boy and am highly food motivated.
I love my humans, however, I can take a moment to warm up to strangers and other fur animals. It’s important for my new family to have patience and not pressure me into new and unfamiliar experiences too soon. Once I feel comfortable and safe my playful personality takes over.
I am comfortable and relaxed in a home that allows me to have access inside and outside. I currently sleep inside so would like this to continue or to sleep in an enclosed area where I feel protected and safe from the outside.
I am known to show signs of general puppy behaviour of jumping and can sometimes get a lil mouthy. For this reason and being a medium to large size dog, I would not suit a home with small children, children aged 10 and above would be best suited.
I will require a secure large fenced yard, 6ft colourbond fencing with no holes or gaps. Whilst I love to be around my humans I can be left alone. I love a good bone or toys to keep me mentally active and amused. If I’m not entertained, I am sometimes partial to a good old’ dig or two.
If you are looking for a new best friend to bring you laughter, go on adventures with, enjoy endless cuddles and affection then I am the missing link to your home. Please contact Rach and Raymond on r.woollams@gmail.com if you have any questions or enquiries. I am located in Islington, NSW (Newcastle).
