The name Freya stems from the Norse goddess associated with things like love and beauty and that's definitely this girl.
Having a pretty rough start to life couldn't even dim her.
If Freya was a fun park entertainment stall she'd be a kissing booth. She's SO full of love for everyone that sometimes it gets too much so she needs a patient hand to calm her down.
Freya would love a friend and is submissive with other dogs but would be fine by herself with regular trips to the park to make her own friends and to run off her excess loving energy! She is definitely a dog that needs to be part of a family and would not be opposed to spooning you in bed, cuddling you on the couch, being your date to wherever you are going and taste testing your food. Freya claims she needs to eat all the time for her snuggle energy! Food Enthusiast is a good term for her and while not food aggressive, due to her rough start, she will seek food out and hustle her way into anything that is being eaten by anyone else (person or animal). This will make training a breeze because she will do ANYTHING for food and she is very smart. Reward and tone training are a must as this will build trust and help to curb her enthusiasm through bonding. While she loves everyone she is very loyal and once she trusts you she's a limpet.
Freya's legs have springs and she will need a secure yard when you are going to a non-dog event or working to provide her with treats.
