About Sadie
Hi do you like needy? a little needy ? or a lot needy?
Guess what you have found me I'm all 3!!!!
I am a simple girl you know for a 15 month of age Red Pied Miniature Dachshund
I have no concept of personal space – what yours is mine and love to be with you on your lap, under your feet or snuggled with you while you’re in bed.
I don’t need someone home all the time, but if you do work from home or are a home body that would be an extra bonus cause then like we could be together 24/7 – I could spend all my time with you – I am even happy to keep you company while you’re in the toilet – I mean come on we don’t need boundaries do we??
I’m pretty low maintenance, okay no I’m not really while I love treats or toys brought home for me from time to time, if I am not feeling the love I will throw what my foster mum calls a tantrum – I will find something to chew up (normally a toilet roll) and then leave it for my foster mum to find all while giving her puppy dogs eyes reminding her that she should worship me. Sometimes I am honestly sorry but not every time – oops!
I am still working on being a big girl when new people arrive as I do get nervous but as long as people don’t rush me and let me get used them I’m all good. I will then happily take all the pats your hand can take – and then we can reassess and probably do some more pats.
I am currently in care with a big breed lazy puppy, he and I wrestle heaps and I like to groom him. We did have another small breed in care with us but he’s just gone to his forever home – he and I got on really well, as long as I can be boss.
I am child friendly but screaming kids or really high energy kids do make me nervous and I do not want to be carried around by children please. What I do really love about kids is the sleeping in the bed with them, on them, around them.
I can bark a bit if I’m outside if the neighbors have dogs but I have been working on that with my foster mum – she normally tells me to stop being a dibber and I’m working on it!
I am toilet trained
I am a girl who enjoys the luxury of an indoor life and have great indoor manners. I do like to spend some time outside doing my thing so I would like to have the best of both worlds - inside and outside access when I want.

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link
https://goo.gl/forms/PqpkCcE89ikDR2Lw1
Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
