About Mack
*In foster care in Bondi Junction, Sydney*
Introducing the gorgeous-natured Mack! This lovely dude is a total softy who loves nothing more than a cuddle on the sofa, chewing a tennis ball or going for a walk. Mack lived with his previous family for his whole life and was deeply loved, but due to changed circumstances is now on the search for an amazing new 'forever' home.
Mack is chock-full of affection - he'll often seek you out and lay as close to you as possible for a snuggle, especially after a romp with his toys. He's very capable of making his own fun, but also enjoys a good game of fetch or tug of war in the backyard - and going out for a stroll around the neighbourhood is probably his favourite activity of all! As soon as he gets the signal his whole body shakes with excitement, and he presses his nose right up on the front door while making adorable little piggy grunting noises :)
Beautiful, loyal, and so loving, Mack will make the most perfect companion!
Like all Maggie's pets, Mack is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will let me cuddle with my humans from morning to night! I currently sleep on the sofa, but would be more than happy to jump into my new family’s bed given the opportunity :)
Getting out in the fresh air is crucial to my physical and mental wellbeing, so you'll need to be committed to daily walks and playtime. I'm fully house-trained so I don't need a big backyard, although some outdoor space would definitely be nice. My foster carer says I've been responding well to commands on walks and at home, so with encouragement (and treats) I could probably learn some more tricks!
I don't mind being left by myself for a few hours at a time, and might be OK with longer stretches too, although this hasn't been tested since coming into foster care.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm very relaxed while hanging out at home, but the excitement levels quickly build if you start any type of game! I also LOVE to give kisses but will back off if you tell me to.
The perfect amount of activity for me is two short 30-minute walks or one long walk every day, with a small amount of play thrown in for good measure. Once I've burned off all my energy I'm content to just chill with you on the sofa or have a nice nap.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I lived with a young child in my previous home, and was very gentle and loving with him. I've also been super-friendly to all the people I've met since then!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I'm always thrilled to see other dogs! - but I tend to express that in a very vocal way, which they sometimes take as aggression. For that reason I think I'll be best suited to a home without any other resident pooches. When we're out on a walk just say 'Come on, Mack' and I'll happily march on without any issues :)
I haven't had the chance to meet any cats since coming into foster care.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
