About Ocean
Ocean is a beautiful girl with lots of love to share. She loves her humans with lots of passion and enjoys getting lots of pats whenever she can. Ocean is also a big snuggler, she may look tough but she is a massive softie. This girl loves herself some cuddles! She may be a sweetheart but when it comes to tug-of-war, this girl likes to show you who is the champ. Ocean is super playful and loves tug-of-war. She is super friendly and has a very outgoing nature. Ocean loves her food! Give her some food and you will have a best friend for life. She is an adventurous lady who loves going on her daily walks and discovering new things to explore. Ocean will gladly follow her humans through their adventures. Whether it’s going to the beach, going for a walk or just riding in the car, Ocean will be there next to you every step of the way.
Ocean is the brightest young girl, she has a thirst for knowledge and is quick to learn new commands (or skills). She knows all her basic commands and then some! Ocean knows how to ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’ and even ‘shake’ on command. Her food orientated nature makes her a fast learner and as she knows a trick already, she will easily pick up another few with some more training. Ocean is a very well behaved girl who shows no signs of digging and rarely barks. She is quite dominant towards other dogs, making her best suited to being an only dog or submissive canine friends. Ocean has previously been an outside dog but with a little bit of time and training, she would be more than happy to spend time inside with her humans. She loves her humans so much that we believe she will quickly take to the idea of being inside to spend more time with them.
Ocean is also an active girl who will need humans who are dedicated to ensuring that she gets plenty of exercise and cuddles, and who will provide her with sufficient mental stimulation to keep her busy. She is a delight to have around and knows how to instantly brighten up a room with her presence. Like all dogs, Ocean will need to continue practising her commands and skills to ensure they stay fresh in her memory. She would also need to have humans who understand her love for her daily walks and will make sure that she does continue this activity into the future.

MEET & GREET
We encourage all adopters to meet their new addition before committing to adoption. This gives you a chance to see if the animal might be a good fit, and if a dog, to also introduce them to your other animals. Just like we don't expect all humans to get along, we expect the same for animals.
ADOPTION AGREEMENT
At CQASI our animals future is paramount and we want to see them put into their forever homes. Every detail on our agreement is used to ensure your home is suitable for a new addition, that you agree to the terms and conditions and we also use some of the info for owner transfer after the adoption trial period (mentioned further down)
HOME/YARD CHECK
All our cats are indoor/outdoor enclosure only so all house checks are done when your feline friend is being dropped off to join your household. If the barking variety is what you are looking at adding to your home then one of our volunteers will contact you to arrange a day/time for a yard check. This is to check your fencing is suitable, see where your new canine will be sleeping and just get a general feel for the home they will be going to. All our adoptions tend to be local, but we have connections all over QLD so are more than happy to consider all serious adoption enquiries. A house/yard check will be done if we can get a local member (if adoption enquiry is not Rockhampton based) to assist.
ADOPTION FEE
Adoption fee is to be paid prior to collecting your new family member. The adoption fee is used to cover the vet work your new addition received. This includes - but is not limited to Desexing, vaccination/s, microchipping, parasite treatment/prevention (heart worm testing for dogs only).
TWO WEEK TRIAL
All our animals have a two week trial period. This gives your new addition time to settle into your family life and to give you a chance to ensure they are exactly what you want. If they are not settling in then we will arrange to take them back into care and you will be refunded the adoption fee. If after the two weeks they are exactly what you wanted then we will send you all their paperwork including sterilisation certificate, vaccination certificate and microchip transfer form.
Our aim is a beautiful goodbye into their new home. We treat any potential adoption with the upmost care as the animals safety and welfare is our number one concern.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
