About Lynee
Curious, sweet, brave, sleepy and loving. This is how Lynee’s foster family describe her.
Lynee amazes her foster family how fearlessly she welcomes new things into her world.
She takes on new challenges in the most impressive way and is the sweetest girl to everyone and everything she meets.
Lynee is loving the foster care life. Loves going on walks - smelling, seeing and hearing all around her. She has mastered the two flights of stairs at the apartment and starting to understand praise and a bit of recall.
Lynee is an absolutely beauty. She is a small to medium grey with a gorgeous black coat and an adorable white chest. She definitely knows how to use her puppy eyes and will melt your soul looking into it.
Lynee adores Autumn in Melbourne, prancing and crunching those Autumn leaves on her walks.
Our Lynee had a significant racing injury. She has had a fractured leg repaired with a surgical plate. She would prefer shorter but more frequent walks.
Lynee doesn't let this hold her back, she is up for any adventure you can offer her.
No cat or small dog applications please.
No children under six.
No full time workers unless working from home or there is another dog
We only consider applications who compete our online application.
When this is done we can make contact to discuss adopting a greyhound and potential suitable greys currently in foster care.
Medical notes

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
