About Joey
Joey has come from a loving home of three years but is needing a new home through no fault of his own. He is 7 years old and a large boy, but the most gentle giant you will ever meet. His foster carer says he is one of the easiest boys in the world to look after and is easy to love. He's very relaxed and super affectionate and he wants to be near you and for you to give him love!
He gets along with other dogs and people, loves walks and is great on the lead, sleeps well and isn't a barker. He loves every kind of scratch ... head, ears, chin, bum ... and doesn't chase the birds that come into the yard. Unusually, he's not the least bit food motivated, and often has to be reminded to finish his meal.
His ideal home will have a playmate for him. He is okay with, but doesn't like, to be left alone all day without humans, but is okay if there's another dog who likes to play with toys and go the occasional zoomie while you are at work. If you're home a lot, he will be in heaven.
