About Indigo
This dainty little girl is Indigo (Indy to her friends).
She came into our care at just 6 months’ old and we soon discovered that she had a few secrets in her belly. As we waited for her babies, Indy's beautiful personality began to show.
She loves humans big and small, but especially enjoys the company of our children (8 and 12 years’ old) and will curl up next to them in bed, sit and listen to them read, or play any game they devise. She is also happy to bath them if she deems it necessary!
Indigo sought us out one evening in early January to let us know it was time to have her kittens and our whole family were very privileged to be there to welcome her 5 babies. From the get go, Indy was the perfect mumma and did a great job of raising her babies. Her kittens have all found their forever homes and now it is well and truly Indigo’s time to shine.
Indigo is happy to be left on her own, so would be fine with a professional person/family. She is very loving and friendly and loves scratches under her chin as well as long strokes down her back. She has a huge purr and will come to you and flop on your feet for attention. If that doesnt work she will do rolly pollies and has been known to do the occasional dive bomb to let you know its time for dinner! Indy loves her food, a good cosy safe space to sleep and plenty of toys to play with. She is still a kitten at heart and tries to keep her claws tucked away when playing. Indigo is not a cat that likes to be picked up and cuddled but is happy to come to you and sit near/on top of you when she wants some love.
Indigo lives with other cats, who she tolerates, but would be happier if she was an only cat. Indy will tolerate a dog as long as they respect her space.
Indigo is now 12 months’ old. She has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.
She is located in Redland Bay and is patiently waiting for her forever home, a home that will give her space when she needs it but also pamper her and love her for the beautiful girl she is.
