About Blizzard
My name is Blizzard but my family call me Blitzzy.
I have been with my foster family for 6 months and I am in a good routine.
I am a real scaredy-cat but I try so hard to be brave. I am scared of men more than women and mostly solid framed men wearing hats.
I like my soft crate with my cuddly toys it's where I feel safe and I retreat there when unsure or scared then I come out when I'm feeling brave again.
When I gain the trust and bond with my carer/s I often like to be close and to snuggle up along side them.
I am very good at sleeping and snooze a lot through the day.
I am happy to stay home alone for most of the day but I am also really happy when you come home.
I still have not been brave enough to go out walking on a lead although I have tried.
I live in a terrace house, no real yard and it can be a busy household which is challenging for scaredy-cats like me.
I would love a secure yard that I can easily access and feel safe in because big open spaces and strangers scare me.
Living with another dog would be great for companionship and would help me to be social and be a friend for me but I am also quiet content to be on my own.
I enjoy a game of tug-o-war, wrestling with my toys but having a fenced yard for zoomies would be a real treat.
When I get excited my carer will ask me to sit, then to lay for a belly rub which settles me and I become calm and happy.
I love my food and if treats are at my reach I will definitely have a munch!
I am learning that I am loveable and that my days of consistent kindness are helping me to grow strong.
