Big, beautiful Binxy-Bear was rescued as a young lad, from a very unpleasant home, by a lovely family with existing pets. Initially, things were fine and once Binx recovered from his previous neglect, he seemed to slot in very well and everyone fell madly in love with him.

Unfortunately, as Binx started to mature and crave more human attention, he became increasingly more erratic and unpredictable in his interactions with the existing cats and small dog. Binx’s family worked hard to make him as comfortable as possible, constructing an outdoor enclosure where he could have some alone time, if he wanted. Sadly, this backfired and once Binx discovered the outdoors, he decided to make it his mission to sneak out any door, at any opportunity, to indulge his new found love of tree climbing. 😳

Still, his devoted family persisted and moved to a larger home, with less “escape routes” and, Binx seemed happy being an indoor cat again. Alas through all of this, Binx was still becoming more aggressive with his furry family members and once again, a secure outdoor space was constructed, as a last resort before having to make the heartbreaking decision to admit defeat and find Binx a home where he will be the only pet and can live his best life.

Once again, despite having periods where he seems to co-exist with the other pets in his home, Binx has begun lashing out at his siblings and devastatingly for his family, the time has come for Binx to find a home where he will be happy 100% of the time.

Binx is looking for a home where he will be THE ONLY PET.

Despite his ongoing issues with aggression towards the other pets, Binx is an absolute sweetheart with people! He LOVES everyone and is cuddly, gentle and relaxed. Binx has grown up with a respectful child and is absolutely amazing with her; he just loves everyone!

Binx is a big, floppy, dopey boy who love to drape himself across you like a giant fluffy hot water bottle. He loves snoozing in the sun be it in the window, or in a secure outdoor space, but he is not suited to being let outside to wander; he has NO road sense and likes to maroon himself in tall trees! 😳🤦‍♀️

Binx would make an amazing family pet, or constant companion for a single or couple. He is medium to low energy and is more than happy to entertain himself/snooze when his people aren’t home. He does require regular brushing and prefers to have a summer clip so he doesn’t overheat.

While Binx is fantastic with and genuinely enjoys the company of kids, he will need a home with kids that are old enough to understand to be vigilant not to leave external doors open, for Binx’s safety.
