Lester - located in Clifton Hill

Lester, nicknamed Lockie, is a part Russian Blue who will melt your heart.

Lockie is a young male cat, who has a thick, short, but super soft grey coat. His coat has the slightest blue tinge with silver tips and faded stripes on his tail. He has yellow-green eyes and mauve paw pads. Overall, he is a seriously attractive young man who is lots of fun to snuggle. And does he love to snuggle!

Lockie’s typical day (while his foster parents are in lockdown) is:
- Wake up with human A and get fed some delicious kibble for breakfast
- Help human A wake up human B with lots of snuggles, sniffs and, if lucky, a kiss or two
- Ask the humans for more breakfast, to which they must be very strong and say ‘no’
- While the humans work, I nap on the bed
- If the humans get up from their desk, I leap off the bed and follow them around for pats, but mostly to ask for more breakfast
- Occasionally I will help the humans maintain motivation to work by sitting and snoozing on their lap
- Once the humans finish work, it’s dinner time – fresh meat - and I am very happy
- I watch the humans cook their dinner but I never try to jump onto the bench or get in the way
- While they eat dinner, I sit on the windowsill and watch the possums and bats
- When the humans settle down on the couch, I sit with them and snooze
- Just before bedtime, I like to play a game of ping pong soccer or chase the toy
- Then the humans go to bed and I … well, who knows? Whatever it is, I’m very quiet while doing it!

Lockie came to his foster parents with cat flu, which he has recovered from marvellously. His voice is still croaky, but his energy and appetite are back. He is starting to enjoy play time – he is very athletic and has a good amount of energy to burn. Luckily, he is also quite happy snoozing most of the day and doesn’t cause trouble out of boredom.

We are not sure if Lockie would enjoy sharing his time with other cats or children. He does bite when he’s agitated, so children would need to learn his limits. When he plays, he is high energy, so a family, couple, or individual who has time to play with him is ideal.

Lockie is a super sweet boy who loves his human family. His new owners can expect tonnes of cuddles, fun and high energy play time, and a furry friend who looks at them with big green loving eyes.

We are unable to hold a cat for you if you are not ready to adopt.
