⛄️❄️ADOPT YETI❄️⛄️
Hello, my name's Yeti! My foster mum gave me my name because I’m a big, boofy boy who was dropped to her late at night soaking wet after being trapped wandering the streets all alone, skinny and scared, with no family to call my own.
I’ve started to enjoy indoor life and I’m looking to take the next step - a family that can show me what love really is! Maybe you can help?
Nature
I am very confident around people and never hide, however, I’m still learning about pats. I enjoy the company of people and will walk around them, sit and watch them and join in with household activities, however I can still growl or give a little hiss when my foster mum tries to pat me. When I’m eating, my foster mum sneaks pats in and I seem to be quite confused - I think I like them but I know a street cat like me has to keep his defences up! I’m really hoping that someone out there may be looking for a companion to talk to and to teach to trust, or maybe even a friend for their cat - because I’d be perfect for both of those!
My foster mum thinks if someone was willing to give me a room or caboodle to myself and sit with me often, I would learn to love affection. I’m very food driven, so hand-feeding me and giving me treats will work a charm in teaching me to be a softie. I was quite underweight when I came into care so I eat quite a lot at the moment whilst I gain weight and get my condition back up to scratch.
I’m really starting to come out of my shell and my foster mum thinks a family of my own is all it will take for me to reach my full potential. She can see how much I want to smooch her and enjoy her affection - I just need someone to help me overcome my fears.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I would prefer a home with no children or a home with older children who understand to leave me alone and give me space until I learn to trust people (starting with adults first). I LOVE other cats and would really like to have another confident feline in my forever home to show me that people are okay, alternatively you could adopt me with one of the other kitties in my foster home. I could learn to adjust to dogs provided we are given a very slow introduction.
Likes / Dislikes
I love wet food, I will eat as much as you give me. I have biscuits available to me as I please and receive wet food twice a day at current. I’m very good at using my litter tray and I really enjoy laying in the sun on my cat tower.
My PURR-fect home would be with a family who is willing to put in time and patience to work on my trust and enjoy my company. with or without pats, in the mean time. I would love someone to sit and talk to me. My forever home would be awesome if it had another kitty friend.

5670 - Yeti
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair
Colour: Tabby & White
DOB: 26/05/2018
Adoption Fee: $150
*Yeti’s adoption fee includes vet check, sterilisation, vaccination, microchip, flea and worm treatment
Medical notes
Medical Notes: Yeti has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which is a virus that can affect his immune system, however, he can still potentially live a long healthy life. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds. Due to his FIV Yeti will need to be an indoor only cat. FIV cats can live harmoniously with other cats however slow introductions are required to ensure they do not fight.
Yeti was exposed to cat flu, a respiratory infection. He did not show any symptoms and was given the all clear by the vet.
