Requirements:
ā¢ A home where someone is home more often than not
ā¢ Melton would like to be the only pet in your home
ā¢ Prepared to continue with treatment for eye condition. As this is a pre-existing condition, Starting Over Dog Rescue will cover the costs associated with Melton's treatment.
Melton is a big couch potato and loves a good snuggle. She will gently place her paw on you to let you know she would like some pats. She will follow you all over the house and be your shadow.
She enjoys going for walks, and gets very excited as soon as you pick up her lead. She can pull a bit at first from excitement, and is quite strong but settles after awhile.
She knows how to sit and shake and is very gentle when taking treats from your hand. She understands basic commands and does not jump.
Melton can be dog selective and doesnāt like sharing her food, toys or humans with other dogs - so will be best suited to an only dog home.
Melton can be a bit unsure of strangers at first and will bark if someone comes on your property, but she soon settles down once you let her know itās okay.
Not tested with cats or children.

Medical notes
Melton suffers from a condition that causes ulcers in her eyes which will require treatment for the rest of her life. She is given eye drops daily and will need check ups with an eye specialist. As this is a pre-existing condition, Starting Over Dog Rescue will cover the costs associated with Melton's treatment.
