About Dita DL2672
Dita is a gorgeous Poodle x Maltese on the search for her forever home. Our vet suggests she's about 10 years old, but she is very lively and acts more like a 5 year old.
Dita is a friendly dog who enjoys human company. She is very affectionate and demands affectionate from her person. Dita is a bit of a shadow, following you around the house, but just watch she doesn't trip you up! She will paw at your hand to ask for a head or tummy rub.
Dita is ok to be left for a few hours but could not be left alone for full time work hours, she craves human company too much. Dita is very anxious in storms and will need someone who understands and can work with her through this. She will require regular grooming to maintain her coat.
Dita loves people, but hasn't had much to do with other pets or kids. She is happy being the only dog at home with plenty of company from her humans!
A day in the life of Miss Dita:
Wake up, have a few head rubs and cuddles then outside for a wee. Back inside to prance down to the kitchen to perform the food dance prior to eating breakfast. Dita loves her food, even though she only has about 8 teeth, she eats well!
After breakfast it's time for a play with her soft toys and a ball. That is all quite exhausting so then it's time for a nap. Dita loves her nap almost as much as she loves her food!
A nice 20 minute walk during the day allows Dita to enjoy a sniff and breaks up play and nap time. Then brings dinner with another fancy dance before she curls up on the couch with you.

Medical notes
Dita has had most of her teeth removed, she only has about 8 left. This does not restrict her with general kibble and eating. She has had hair loss on her back, blood tests didn't provide any abnormal results and her fur has grown back in. Dita has also had mammary tumors removed. The most up-to-date health information can be provided by our team prior to adoption.

ADOPTION:
1. Email DFLadoption@gmail.com to contact our Adoption Team & we will send you an expression of interest form to return
2. Successful applicants will then have a 'Meet & Greet' with the dog and their carer, along with a volunteer home visit & fence check, before beginning a trial period with the dog to ensure a great match for all involved.
DFL dogs are vaccinated, micro chipped & desexed prior to adoption (or at 6 months as a condition of adoption).
FOSTER:
If a dog is listed as "Foster Carer Needed", they are looking for a temporary home in Perth metro while their vet work is completed and while they wait for their forever home. They may also be fostered with the view to adoption. Please email us for more information.

2. Foster care applicants will then have a volunteer home visit & fence check, and a 'Meet & Greet' with the dog and their carer/rescue representative, before commencing foster care.
