About Archie
AVAILABLE SATURDAY 12/06
Never heard of a Portuguese Podengo? Meet Archie an 8 month old Purebred Portuguese Podengo!
Born 26/09/20 this energetic lad can't wait to meet his new family!
Archie is very boisterous and full of fun - he is quite the goofball who will make sure you always have a smile! He adores people and other animals of all shapes and sizes! As long as he has someone to play with he's set!
Archie has not had much training so he will need help and guidance to turn him into the polite and good boy we all know he can be. He is not house trained and has shown signs of Separation anxiety.
Archie loves being out and about for a walk. He can get quite excited while heading out so pulls a little, but can be quite easy to walk.
He shows no signs of food aggression, however he can be startled by loud noises and would need to be allowed inside during thunder storms and fireworks where he knows he is safe.
Archie is such a happy and affectionate guy, who with patience, training and consistency would make a super loyal and perfect companion for the right family. He would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family and involved in the day to day activities. Archie will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Archie's adoption fee is $800 and includes his desexing, lifetime registration, and discounted training thanks to Dog Ed. He is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.
To enquire more or to meet Archie, please research the breed before calling the facility on 02 4304 4350 or email gosfordpound@gmail.com and speak to one of our friendly staff.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please give the facility a call on 43044350 to make an appointment and ask further questions.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide helps the facility to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home.
Once all of your questions have been answered, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the facility unless prior arrangements are made by management.
After the meet and greet, a yard check will be completed at your home to ensure that your home and yard is suitable for the kind of pet you are interested in. Please bring to your appointment photos of your fencing also showing all gates that attach to the house.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
