Meet Kelsey,
An absolutely beautiful girl who just needs to find the right home to flourish.
Kelsey can get the zoomies at times when we play with her. She enjoys a pat and a firm cuddle from her humans. She loves water and is always putting her front feet in her water bowl when she drinks. She definitely needs a few water bowls around as she likes to step in them all.
Kelsey can jump up on people sometimes but with a firm ‘down or no’, she gets down. Kelsey reacts well to a strong human! She can be very wary of men initially but is also timid towards most people at first but usually warms up well you just have to give her time and approach slowly. She does get overwhelmed with children so a home without children is needed.
Kelsey has anxiety with thunder connected to storms and seems to settle once she was in a sheltered and darker space so a pen/ crate will work well. Once the thunder stops she settles down. She has been prescribed with some medication to help her with the anxiety.
Kelsey is very good during bath time, and has been full groomed by a mobile doggie groomer with no issues. This will be an added cost to caring for Kelsey and keeping her coat well maintained.
She doesn’t mind wearing her harness and lead for car travel or visits to the vet. She lays calmly on the back seat. She is quiet at home and only barks when she hears odd noises or voices outside the yard sometimes.
Kelsey is ok being left on her own for long-ish periods, and is super excited to see you come home.
Kelsey pretty much enjoys sleeping all day in her comfy bed or in a cool spot!
