Hi there! I'm Suzie.

I am a gentle, sweet soul who has won many hearts in shelter due to my sweet nature. I am a well-mannered, thoughtful dog looking for a special family who will give me the guidance and care I need to help me come out of my shell.

I am shy when meeting new people, but warm up to you when I am given time to get to know you. I will need some patience and guidance to learn that new people are my friends. It takes a special person to join my inner circle, but once you do, I'll be your loyal friend for life.

I love to hang out by your feet and will curiously observe everything you do. I have spent mornings in the office keeping the shelter staff company and they say I'm wonderful! I'm not the cuddly type - I much prefer to be your quiet shadow, so a household without children, frequent visitors or too much hustle and bustle would suit me perfectly.

My perfect family will be familiar with dog body language and will give me space if I feel uncomfortable while I'm learning that human touch is a good thing. Please bring the whole family along to meet me to see if we are a good fit for each other.

I have met dogs in shelter but I need to be your only dog at home so I have the space to gain my confidence. I know you will just love watching me blossom in your care.
