Mads is a gorgeous young girl who is ready to get out there and make the most of every day.
A young mum herself, she has raised her babies and still has that puppy-like joy in her heart. She is learning about how wonderful the world really is and on walks she likes to stop and smell all the roses while taking in the sights and sounds. She gets very excited in the mornings about the potential fun the new day will bring and always starts off with a good bout of zoomies. Her new home must be able to provide her with an outlet for this energy and to make sure she has regular daily enrichment.
She has lived in care with other dogs and although she hasnāt found her best doggy friend in her foster home, she really enjoys their company while patrolling the fence lines and chatting to the neighbours dogs. She is picking up basic commands but is so clever that there is no way she is going to be fooled into a sit if there isnāt any treats around. She just loves her mealtimes and looks forward to her two meals a day.
Such a sweet young girl, she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Mads can sometimes be a little worried when new people visit the home especially if they are noisy men or busy toddlers but if they ignore her and respect her need for space, she gets over it pretty quickly. She will need some ongoing positive reinforcement around socialisation but has shown that with a little bit of patience and understanding, she quickly feels brave enough to achieve all her pats and scratches goals.
She is house trained, sleeps well through the night and is full of love and adoration for the humans in her life.
Mads ideal home would have humans who are older teen and above, a home where she will be loved and included as an important member of the family and who will make sure that she gets plenty of love and hugs every day ā cuddles on the couch or in front of the fireplace would be an added bonus!
No tested with cats
