About Lucy
Lucy is a very pretty gold and white 12 year old Pom x Chi. She is a fluffy easy going senior lady who doesent look her age at all
Lucy came into rescue very very overweight as her owner had dementia and kept feeding her , then sadly went into a nursing home and Lucy was left behind until kind neighbours contacted us
Lucy has now lost nearly half her bodyweight and is looking trim
Due to her obesity Lucys blood pressure got a little high and she was placed on some medication to lower it and it is now at an acceptable level. That can be tapered off as her BP is now under control
Lucy is good natured with other dogs and is living with quite a few small dogs. She seems to be ok with cats
Lucy would be fine as an only dog or with another dog but only if her new family were not out all week
Lucy needs to always watch her weight as she is always happy to eat as much as is on offer so a healthy diet is essential
Lucy is in care in Hinton and is available for adoption . Please send in the application form in the adoption details section
Medical notes
Lucy is on blood pressure medication which can be tapered off over time
Her weight needs to be kept to an acceptable level of 5 - 6 kilos
Adoption details
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO APPLY PLEASE FILL OUT THE ADOPTION FORM VIA THIS LINK: https://bit.ly/35pENH8
We require an initial application and then if a dog seems a match we can arrange a meet and greet at a local park or the foster carers home. If the meet is successful we then arrange a yard check and if that is satisfactory we require full payment on picking up the dog.
We then give a 2 week trial and if in that time it is not working we will refund all but $50 for admin costs. We also require that the adopter returns our dogs back to us at any time in its lifetime (without a refund) for us to rehome.
