About Rush
Hello everyone! My name is Rush and I am looking for my forever family!
I’m a little boisterous, excitable, and not quite coordinated at times, but I am one hell of a loving boy!
My foster family describe me as a very cuddly boy and you will often find my pointy snoot under your arm or in your lap. I am a self proclaimed pro "roacher" and spend half my time upside down…cos why not?! I sometimes need a little encouraging to get out on a walk but once I find my groove I am fine! I LOVE car rides and sticking my snoot out the window! I think TOYS ARE DA BEST and often have my foster family in stiches laughing while I throw my toys around the room and chase them. I have been described as a bit of a velcro dog but its just cos I looove my hoomans.
If you’re looking for a boy who will zoom around you with love and excitement and joy, look no further.
Oh! Also, I’m not so cat friendly, and I might be a bit uncoordinated for small children!
Summary:
- WFH or part time – someone home more often than not
- MUST have another (easy going) dog of medium to large size
- No children under 10
- Not cat or small dog friendly
Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
Click 'Enquire about this pet' to contact us or email us at adoptions@greytgreys.org to express interest in the hound that you are looking at. We'll send you an EOI form, this must be returned before proceeding.
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $350.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
