Maru

Maru is an adorable, intelligent, and energetic pooch! He’s staffy X, and we think he’s got Kelpie mixed in there! Maru is best suited to a loving family with lots of time to dedicate to his training, exercise, and cuddles! He is best suited to older kids, since fast movements can scare him. He has severe separation anxiety, which is being managed through 60mg of fluoxetine daily. We give it to him at 6pm, with a spoon of peanut butter! It’s the best way to get him to take it! Maru is not food motivated but he LOVES attention, which will be his biggest motivator during training. So far, he has good recall, and he’s toilet trained. We are working on sit and stay, and his separation anxiety has improved drastically since starting his meds. Please remember to feed the meds to him at the same time every day, we take them at 6pm. If you change the schedule he might get tired, but don’t worry his body is just adjusting to the routine!
