About Darcy
Hi I’m Darcy, I am a gorgeous 6 year old French Bulldog
My foster family have said that I’m an awesome cuddle buddy who is happy to chill when it’s quiet time and I love to play when it’s play time!
I can be nervous meeting new people but just give me a couple of days to settle and then you see my awesome personality.
I am happy to be home while my humans go to work but I would be lonely if there was no one home 8+ hours a day. My foster mum and dad work shift work at the moment so I’m kind of spoilt as I’m not left home alone very often – when I am – I usually just snooze – I will admit I have gotten bored once or twice and chewed my fosters dad video games case (oops!)
I am still working on being a big girl when new people arrive - but if they just give me a moment to feel comfortable I am then happy to go up and say hi to them.
My foster siblings are a similar size to me and then a big breed dog, I get along well with both of them for the most part, however I have had a couple of tiffs with my big foster sister – especially when she is playing ball and running towards my foster mum to return the ball – I go into protective mode – but 30 seconds later we are bff’s again – my foster mum just shakes her head at me and reminds me I’m only little and she is just playing.
I enjoy playing with my foster fur brother who is a cavoodle he likes to groom me and I just happily lay there and snooze while he does it.
I am not tested with cats (my mum asked the neighbors if we could try but they said no)
Kids - I like kids but I am not comfortable with them trying to pick me up or the squealing – I am really after a quiet home where I can do my thing and follow you around when I want. To be honest I’m not a big fan of being picked up and carried around by anyone – I much prefer my feet on the ground.
I do love a good set of stairs for the couch or the bed – so fingers crossed my new home has these.
I also love to go for a walk or even just sit with you while you’re having a cup of coffee and relaxing.
Like a lot of French Bulldogs I can have a sensitive tummy to some foods but I seem to do very well on Leaps and Bounds food – unfortunately some food does not agree me and it can cause me to have an upset tummy and from time to time I may need my bum wiped – sorry!
I am house trained.
I am a girl who has learnt to enjoy the luxury of an indoor life and have great indoor manners.
I do like to spend some time outside doing my thing so I would like to have the best of both worlds - inside and outside access when I want.

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
