“Hello, my name is Aurora, pleased to meet you! I found my way to the Catters when my family found that I had given birth to three adorable babies! They wanted to make sure my babies were safe and that I was sterilised, so I didn’t have any more. Unfortunately, circumstances changed, and my family had to make the sad decision to ask for me to find a new family. She trusted the Catters with all her heart and so here I am ready to find a forever family to take me in. I really am an overly sweet girl and love my family so very much! I even love when visitors come over and I get to meet new people again. If they’ve got the love, I’ve got the purrs! But I don’t like loud voices too much because they can be a little stressful for cats with such great hearing.

I haven’t really got much of an interest in toys and gimmicks, I’m very much a family girl that just enjoys spending time around my special people. I like to lay in the sun shining through the window for the morning while I watch the world float on by, especially when the birds swoop past to tease me. After a good morning siesta, I like to do the usual home sweep – checking every room to see what’s new and what’s changed. I have to make sure the kids of the house are keeping things tidy after all don’t I? Mothering instincts, I guess. Oh and one thing before I finish things up, my foster mum likes to dance apparently while she is getting my dinner ready because she steps all around me back and forth! We’re just going to pretend it’s not me hassling her to be faster with my dinner!”

Aurora is confident and comfortable exploring new surroundings and will suit most family homes with children of all ages. We expect a smooth transition moving to a home with other household pets with the right introductions, and we are happy to provide support during this time. Aurora should adjust well to life with other cats provided the right introductions are done. We are unsure of Aurora’s experience with dogs.

All adult cats are sent to potential new homes on a one to two week trial after an initial meet and greet before finalising adoption. While adult cats do take longer than this to settle into a new home, it allows a chance to see how the cat is coping with the new environment.

Aurora's adoption fee includes a veterinary health examination followed by sterilisation, microchip, up to date vaccination/s and treatment for parasites.

Important note: Aurora has pale features that increase the risk of sun damage. It is recommended that cats who are susceptible to sun damage are kept indoors and confined to a cat run for the morning and evening sun if they enjoy the outdoors.
