About Dia
Dia is our resident social butterfly! This girl is just a bundle of love and is always happy to show her affections.
Whilst in care, Dia has proven to be social with all dogs she has met and has spent some time at a boarding facility and enjoys spending her days with dogs of all sizes. She loves her people and is happiest when she is with them receiving lots of pats and being told what a good girl she is.
Her perfect family would be one with staffy experience as she is your typical adolescent bully breed who needs continued training. Dia does best with structure in her day to day life and will take advantage of people who aren’t used to typical staffy behaviour. She would do well with another medium to large playful male dog and someone home more often than not. Having another dog at home is not required as long as someone is home more often than not as Dia has shown to take advantage of low fences.
Dia LOVES her food and praise so training is a breeze. She has been learning basic commands and now walks well on leash after a small amount of pulling with initial excitement to be out. She sleeps through the night in her crate and is toilet trained.
Dia came into care from remote NSW and has been coping with the busier lifestyle that Sydney brings very well. However, her new owner should continue her exposure gently as to not overwhelm her. She will not be suitable for inner city living and shouldn’t be taken to dog parks/ off leash dog areas until she is ready. She loves pack walks, play dates with friends dogs and has been having a blast in a pack at the boarding facility. Dia LOVES adventuring and will need a family who are committed to taking her out every day.
Being a love bug pocket rocket Dia can jump up when excited and can be mouthy if not corrected. Due to this we are looking for a home with children no younger than teenagers and owners who are experienced enough to not allow these behaviours.
Dia’s happy personality is infectious and her new owners are going to just love her zest for life. She will make a great family pet for bully breed lovers and even has shown fantastic potential for someone looking for a GRC dog. If you think you are Dia’s match, fill in our adoption application form as the next step in the process.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
